KRS perlite product description:
Expanded perlite is a kind of white granular material with honeycomb structure made of perlite ore after preheating and instantaneous high-temperature roasting.Its principle is: the perlite ore after crushing form a certain particle size of ore, the preheating roasting, rapid heating (above 1000 ºC), moisture evaporation in the ore, the softening ore containing vitreous interior expansion, the formation of porous structure, 10-30 times the volume expansion of nonmetallic minerals. Perlite according to its expansion technique and use different divided into three forms: open hole (open cell), obturator (closed cell), a hollow hole (balloon).
Application of KRS perlite products:
1. Horticultural Applications
In horticultural applications, perlite is used throughout the world as a componet of soilless growing mixed where it provides aeration and optimum moisture retention for superior plant growth. Other horticultural applications for perlite are as a carrier for fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides and for peletizing seed.
2. Construction applications
Perlite is widely used as a loose fill insulation in masonry construction. Other construction applications include chimney linings, under-floor insulation, gypsum boards, paint texturing, ceiling tiles, and roof insulation boards etc.
3. Industrial Application
Ranging from high performance fillers for plastics to cements for petroleum,water and geothermal wells
